Front Desk Staff (FDS)

We are currently looking for three customer service-oriented residents interested in evening and weekend employment at the Residence Services Office. These positions begin in late April 2020 and end mid-September 2020.

 Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 General customer service at the Residence Services Office front counter

  • Booking accommodations through the Residence database system
  • Coding key cards and taking payments
  • Providing information to guests and Spring/Summer residents
  • Inspecting rooms and providing basic housekeeping services
  • Handling afterhours calls, lockouts and guest arrivals
  • Providing additional support during the Fall/Winter term resident move-in process on Monday, August 31st, 2020

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for these positions. Experience within the administrative field or hospitality industry are also considered an asset. This position ends mid-September 2020 and as such, we are unable to consider candidates who have also applied for Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Resident Assistant (RA) positions.

In order to offer residents and guests the most responsive service after hours, Front Desk Staff (FDS) are required to live in Residence for the duration of their employment. There are three positions available for the Spring/Summer term. Each position will have the same scheduled shifts from week to week with the exception of any weeks with large group bookings.
