Introduced in 2024, the USask Residence Fun Squads are different squads that provide residents opportunities to get involved and attend free programming that caters to various interests.
Residence has created three Fun Squads, and they are as follows:
- Greystone Cup
- Artistic Resource & Talent Squad (ARTS)
- Thrive Squad

The Greystone Cup is all about bringing energy, competition, and community spirit to residence life! Throughout the year, residents will have the chance to participate in a variety of fun and friendly events that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and connection. Residents will be grouped into mascot teams, each competing to earn points and claim the coveted Greystone Cup title. Past events have included capture the flag, soccer matches, Mario Kart tournaments, and more—there’s something for everyone!

The ART Squad aims to bring art into residence and foster the sharing and exploration of diverse art and media forms. Our core value is creativity, encouraging individuals to express themselves in unique and meaningful ways. Look forward to programs like origami, movie nights, film discussions, flower arranging, and much more—hosted by the ART Squad!
At the end of the year, ARTS will host their marquee event, entitled “Symphony of the Arts”. This will be an event where residents can show of their artistic abilities.
